Our center operates under the spiritual guidance of Lama Ole Nydahl. The head of the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism is His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa.
The Berd Buddhist group was formed in 1996. As a Buddhist center, it officially registered on June 30, 2008. The center is intended for the laity - people who have an education, a job, a family and their own political views, they are active in society. In total, there are about 60 Karma Kagyu meditation centers and groups in Russia.
The center is open to people seeking to gain knowledge of the nature of the mind through the experience of meditation. Our center is not engaged in missionary work - the Teaching is transmitted only to those who show interest in it. In the Buddhist center, one can practice the methods given by the Buddha, which help to discover and reveal inner wealth for the benefit of all sentient beings.
